As a member of Essex Writers and Artists Guild, Karen’s interest in writing fiction grew. She has since sold a number of shorts to various anthologies mostly in the paranormal and horror genre. Her plays (comedy/drama’s) were performed in New York City and Newburyport, MA. Her film script “The Bloated Beetle” won best screenplay in Screamfest Horror Film Festival. Currently Karen just sold, “Contamination” a sci/fi horror to BUGS: Tales that Slither, Creep and Crawl, due out Sept/Oct 2014. She is close to completion on her very first novel, “A Case to KILL For”, a paranormal/noir based on the same characters from her short, “A Case To Die For” in Damnation and Dames.
Karen is a member of Sisters In Crime (NE), EWAG, SAG, AFTRA and the Dramatist Guild. She graduated from The School of Visual Arts in NYC.
